On 26th September 2019 students of SCORE headed to Goa to attend the world’s largest summit of Reputation Management professionals. I was so excited to attend and volunteer this event at the same time I was nerves as we all got some task to do during the event which was to collect 50 business cards. All the big people from the PR fraternity were present there. The moment I headed towards Goa, the only thought running through my mind was, how will I communicate and approach people at PRAXIS and collect the cards?
But on 27th when the event started I realized that the people present there are so humble and approachable. They were very nice and friendly. They talked very nicely with us some of them started the conversation themselves and made us comfortable. I will never forget the 2 days of PRAXIS8. It was a great experience. I learned how to approach people and communicate with them. I also learnt how to introduce myself to CEOs and heads of companies and start a conversation with them.
PRAXIS is more than an event it is a place where people come and connect with new people and build networks. it is also a place where people meet their friends and have a good time with them. We can learn a lot from this event as many national and international speakers give their keynote and special address on respective themes. This year's theme for the 8th edition of PRAXIS was “Building Trust is at the Core of Public Relations.” Speakers like Shiv Shivakumar, Matthew Harrington, Barri Rafferty, Arun Sudhaman, Johna Burke, Richa Chadda, Devdutt Pattanaik and many more gave a keynote and special address at PRAXIS8.
I am glad that as a student I got an opportunity to be a part of this great summit. Thanks to Amith Prabhu Sir and Hemant Gaule Sir who gave us this opportunity.
