Students of School of Communication and Reputation reached Goa on 26th September 2019 to attend the 8th edition of PRAXIS. Different tasks were assigned to all 20 students. We were divided into different groups. Everybody had their own responsibilities on both days.
I and my batch mate Alisha Shireen was in the content team. At PRAXIS Content was managed by Anubhuti Ma’am. Alisha and I we both worked under Anubhuti Ma’am. On 26th we reached Goa, we kept our luggage at Bambolim beach resort where we all stayed for 2 days, we had our dinner and then we left for Grand Hyatt. After reaching Grand Hyatt we had a meeting with Amith Prabhu sir in which he gave us a brief about all the work we are supposed to do, he also introduced us to other core members of PRAXIS like Gurbani Ma’am, Amita Ma’am, Dhyan Coelho Sir, Roshan Alexander Sir, Anubhuti Mathur Ma’am. We all were assigned different tasks on 26th, some of them were assigned to put the lanyards, while others were busy preparing the tote bags for all the attendees, Salao 3 was filled with a lot of energy and enthusiasm as everyone was so involved in doing their task. Alisha and I went to boardroom 1 with Anubhuti Ma’am, their our task was to put bookmarks on the books and then keep the books into the tote bags. I enjoyed my works and Alisha and I both managed to finish the work as fast as possible.
The next day on the 27th morning we all reached Grand Hyatt at 8:30, again we all were assigned our duties for the day. I worked with Anubhuti Ma’am, Alisha and I, we both were told to stay with Anunhuti Ma’am, at morning we did small work like bringing tote bags from boardroom 1 to ballroom. We were told to give the bags to all the speakers after their speech. We did this task perfectly. In the middle of the speeches, Kiruba sir used to ask some interesting questions to the audience so during that we used to run with the microphones in our hands to the respective person. We did all these small tasks in the ballroom, I think our duty was very simple, and we did it perfectly.
It was great working with Anubhuti Ma’am. She didn’t give us any pressure. She just gave us some basic tasks that are mentioned above. The best part of our duty as we were present at the ballroom during all the keynotes.
Volunteering at PRAXIS was a great experience.
